David, I think the correct thing to say is simply Mazal Tov!! Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy.
If you have a moment, look back at my comments in August, I'll stand by those. I'll add this. The young woman who you see now as a mother, will always also be your little girl. At 52, having given me innumerable proud moments and 2 wonderful grandchildren, my daughter is still, in moments, my little girl.
Congratulations to you and Deborah on becoming grandparents - and to Max’s parents on finally (after 9 long months) becoming parents. There will be no shortage of love to go around in the Roberts and Breskin families. ❤️
Aw, congratulations, can’t wait to be in your shoes. I like the way you narrated this passage to the next stage in your own existence: a grandchild as permission to be and do something new with yourself.
I don't have kids and that is a path I have chosen. Part of me feels sad that I in ways stole this opportunity that you are expressing from my parents. Congratulations to you and your family.
Congratulations, little Max is precious. My grandchild-to-be will be a boy as well, which is neither here nor there but a little bit comforting to me as I raised two boys. I do already feel that desire to make the world a better place for this grandchild - both here and now and far into the future. It will be interesting to see if my perspective changes in May. One thing you mentioned that I have not dwelt on much but perhaps I will now is that it will be one more person to love and thus worry about. Do you find that you worry more about your grandson than you did with your own children?
No words. Just lots of heartfelt bet wishes for all of you!
